Hey all, been a while since i've been on but i heard that the miners won. As i can still remember last year all too well and its great to hear they came through.

congrats to all of them it has been way too long since winning a premiership.

anyway goodluck with the all the junior teams next year and hopefully i'll get to catch up with the with everyone next year for senoirs.

ive been talking to some of the buccs boys and they hungry as ever for the title next year

shame it wasnt the same determination before the final

Olderdan,

Your Flex formation eh?

I have been using that formation since ive been coaching.

Infact, that formation scored me almost 70% of the scores i had against the warriors.

I call it WOW, the two Ws standing for double wingbacks.

Let see if u can spot it next year a lil earlier in the season.HAHA!!

Miners,

What a great game you guys played!!!
Your coachs would be proud, you played with conviction all day long.

Also, Matt, you've done a great job with the defence, they are a well drilled, aggresive group of blokes. They know their job and they get it done.
Every team has their strengths and weaknesses, but the Miners had more of the earlier and less of the latter!!!

So thats 1(bucs) and 1(miners).
See you all again next year.

Miners defence had a great game! Great bunch of kids to coach and there were plenty of rookies on that defence that will be back again next season! Good game by the bucs, i guess we finally got our revenge for last season now! I hope you enjoyed the game OlderDan, our defence managed to keep them just under 65 points unlike yours

Well done Miners - surprised me for sure.

Intersting to see the Bucs used our Flex formation for a couple plays - immitation is the sincerest form of flattery eh?

Miners pass rush was on all day long, Bucs started strong but could contain Lemmy over the course of the day.

Well done to all involved, and we'll see you next year...

did you guys beat anyone other than the seahawks and crusaders???

i think everyone beat them and your team... hmmm weird isnt that...

so your three wins cam from crusaders and seahawks and they were at max 2 td's... time to face the facts buddy, no excuses... im not trying to be a smart *** but when you try to compare against us after we have trashed you both times.... and say you'll be more competative after we drew with the buccs makes me laugh... a lot.... i guess we'll see this sunday....

Wildcat - We started with 18 (effectively 17 b/c our RB only lasted 3 plays, and was really banged up coming into the game), plus another 4 were nursing various injuries from pulled groins, shin splints, torn rotator cuffs, etc. There's a big difference between a healthy 19 and a banged up 17. The Bucs are a very good team, and Marty knows what I think of you guys. And you know it would have been a lot closer in the 2nd half with a few more healthy guys on our bench.

Teamtwoar - while I normally don't engage in stupid arguments, I'll have a little fun with this one;

We scored more points against the Bucs in the second half (21) than you guys have scored on them in either game this season - and we did it without our starting center who was out with glandular fever and our starting running back (who got hurt in play 3).

Get back to me when you guys break 20 - k? :D

because our starting wr's dad has cancer so he was spending time with him, our offense captain starting left guard's dad was in hospital with a bad heart.... 6 with church commitments and others hadnt paid enough of there fees off... we tried to get tougher on it so that the club doesnt loose more money.... we couldnt organise a bus in time either and some players couldnt afford to drive down so choose to stay at home.... i guess they thought we were gonna win easy...

i never thought that... rangers and miners games are always close! well done to rangers for the game

your side isnt as good as you think they are... every time you have lost you have had an excuse for everything....

miners???? first time you guys got raped by them... 2nd time we were missing 14 players at least 6 starters and still in the 2nd half walked away with it.... since lat time the buccs and miners met we had a draw....

i think in two meetings the buccs nearly have beaten you by 100 points in total.... the miners about 70 in total....

face the facts buddy! not excuses

we also on sunday were missing 17 players from our 34 man squad... and had to be at the early game... we still won...

last year the buccs beat us and it was hotter... we were supposed to be the better team but got beaten by a better side on the day do know our excuses??? none? we were beaten!!!

rangers spanked you last time too... i think your in fairy land buddy

Firstly Excellent games on Sunday both games could have gone either way until the 3rd quarter. The warriors qb and wr's have a lot of talent.

Not too sure about teams using lack of numbers as an excuse for losing. Last year in the grand final we(buccs) had less then 20 guys and it was about 42 degrees. We decided this year we needed to make a bigger effort to recruit more guys and try harder to maintain those guys who might not get on the field that much. Which has resulted in us very rarely having to play guys both ways.

Can't wait for this weekends game hopefully its back to back for us. Hope too see a big crowd!

oh for sure warriers gave buccs a fair run for their money!
its one of the longest hottest most dragging games that ive ever seen!
refs dragged it on a bit!
first quarter.. probably not even one flag dropped.
by the time i left (three quarter time) there was barely a play where a flag wasnt dropped.
both sides put in a huge effort ! but bloody well done to the warriors for playing with so few numbers against a team with a million on the bench.
it was a hard game but yous all battled it out bloody well !!

Personally, I think we gave them a better game than the Miners will give them, but we'll just have to see on Sunday won't we :D

hye guys,

so what do you think will be the outcome for the weekend???

first finals are usually suprising but i think this script has already been written...

miners vs rangers

rangers will come out and try to run there sweeps and off TE runs... only the buccs have been able to get a somewhat running game against the miners... this will fail and they will go to there 4 wr combo which opens the door to countless sacks and int's like last time.

miners will come out probally like every game take 1 half to realise there in a game then put the game away. this game will be differnt than last time they met, with there starting QB, RB's and WR back to play... this will change the score board than last time....

miners 36- rangers 6

Buccs Vs Warriors

buccs will pass and run very well and probally put this game away before the end of the half... warriors dont have a defense to stop them. there offense can keep up but tire in the late quaters... buccs have the size and the speed to win... last time they met it was close but buccs had 4 td's called back... im pretty safe to say the miner premiers will waltz past the warriors in easy fashion

Well Big Foot, you got your win - congrats, for once the Seahawks won by forfeit (and it wasn't a paperwork snafu!)

Playoffs are set, Bucs v. Warriors, Miners v. Rangers. Anyone of these teams could take home the flag, it's the widest open competition in years!

Seahawks Vs Crusaders.

SeaHawks if they can keep momentum going will win their first game.
Some big talent in that team, just need to keep focused for a whole game.
Could prove to physically strong for a undersized crusader team.
