Any news on the season schedule?

Texas was a side full of linemen, and not too many speedy skill set guys. They had some big guys playing in the secondary too!

California are a very skillful team, their offense was sharp and precise. They had 3 QLD juniors playing for them as well so that was good experience for these boys.

The team that beat ACT the other day were very sharp and skilled. I believe they are playing California 2moro.

So what was your overall impression of the US teams, especially against what you play here? And how was the transition to 11-man football?

We were up 16-0 at half time and let our guards down a bit I guess in the second half. Dean scored two rushing touchdowns and Jean threw for another. All the two point conversions were successful, one rushing from Jack, one rushing from Jean and another pass from Jean. Game came down to the end with Texas having the last drive and a goal line stand from our defense stopping them from scoring.

There's a note on the NSWGFL website (www.nswgfl.org.au) about the Wolverines defeating one of the American teams at the Down Under Bowl games on the Gold Coast.

Does anyone have further information or a link to a match report? This is a bloody good effort by the boys. Well done to all the players and the coaches involved.

Well in the rematch between the Trojans and the Predators an undermanned but game Predators outfit toughed it out for a 12 all draw. A good performance by all well done

WHOA!!!!! Predators Juniors WIN their first game

After a 14 - 14 tie last week the Preds went one better this week dispatching the Trojans 36 - 16.

Just like to say what a great night of football on Friday night 2 quality games the UTS Raiders game got things going and the Predators Seahawks was a beauty. I am sure it is only a matter of a game or 2 before the Predators post their first win.

I admit that there was a few dropped balls and fumbles on the Predators behalf. The point of the earlier statement made was that the referees did not acknowledge the pass interference and had that been acknowledged it may or may not have been a different result. Ultimately, as Bucsfan stated, it was a great game. End of Discussion.

Cubs 26 - 16 Penrith. Hard fought offensive battle with Uni sealing the win with an interception late in the 4th quarter. Good game with plenty of big plays.

The play that is under discussion in my opinion was Pass Interference.
Yes, it was thrown into double coverage but it was thrown to the outside/back shade of the receiver. Then the safety pushed him straight in the back, forcing him to fall forward away from the ball, having the CB swoop in on it.

There were some questionable calls [u]either way[/u] but in general it was a great game. Final score was about 22 - 26 to the Hawks i think, not exactly sure but there was 4 points in it.

EDIT.

Oh, and i think the final score in the UTS v Bondi Game was 42 to 40, or something close to that. UTS were the victors.

Packersfan, if the reciever wasnt all over the shop and falling into the db then it would have been PI but he was initiating the contact because he didnt know where he was going, he was tripping over his own feet. The pick was made because he was in double coverage, and he was no chance of making the catch because he was too far in field, looking infield and the ball was underthrown and to his outside. The play resulted in the end of the first half.

Mate as OB1 said you are so keen to blame the officials for the result of the game, even though there were numerous errors from your side that were costly.

Pull on the stripes and make sure that you referee as you see it, because that is what everybody does, problem is everyone sees things differently, its the nature of the beast mate.
