San Fran did offer him a contract reportadly worth 24M for 2 years with 14M guaranteed. Great deal for Kurt, but he obviously is not impressed with the '9ers. Can you blame the guy? Warner's agent is stating that he will knock down his contract by up to $1M per year if Boldin is re-signed. Desperation on behalf of Warner?

RE: in other offseason news...
Matt54 (3/03/2009)
Housh a great fit for Hawks providing Hasslebeck can get his game in gear and stay healthy. Hawks now just need to find a great running back and their offence should be set. Would also like to see Hawks go after Perci Harvin. Think he would go well with Housh.
Maybe Hawks could lure Warner in for an interview?? San Fran seems to be wooing him with great results.
San Fran is stupid for going after Warner if it's true. He's old, and they run a ball control offense now. Why waste a year or two on that type of QB? Warner is even dumber for not signing. Anything around the 10-12 million mark is what he's worth to them. Yes, he's a 3 time superbowl QB, but HE'S 38. He's got at most 2 years left in the tank - no team is going to sign anyone, no matter how good, to massive deal when THEY'RE 38. Besides, where's he gonna go? AZ plays in a dome (where Warner statistically has had his best years), throwing to Fitz and Breaston and maybe Boldin if he stays. Where else would he go with those types of targets? Carolina or Houston fit, but do they really make sense? Carolina already has an over 35 QB who seems to fall short in big games, and Houston plays in the same division as the Titans and Colts - not exactly an easy division.
Stay in AZ Kurt. Take the money, swallow a bit of your pride, go get Big Red to another title game.
