Dammit... you didn't get deleted with the rest of the forums.... :-(

Oh well, fresh page...  So where were we?

Ah, yes...  on Saturday 14th July, Rob Castanelli is calling for a few people from each team to be able to come down South to have some filming done for a promo that's going to be on Fox Sports... NATIONALLY!

From what he tells me, we need about 5 people from each team and perhaps a Ref or two, as he has a friend coming out to do some filming for us. You will need gear and uniforms... pretend you're going to play...

I know I'll be there... and you can count on Milosevic and a few other Chiefs will be there if it means supporting the League...

Anyone else interested? I know there's a lack of definite information at the moment, but Casta is going to let us know soon. Just thought we'd get the word out NOW, so you guys know about it early enough to leave Sat 14th July morning / lunch free to be able to get there.

Hope to see some support for this.

Cheers,

Kevin (on Casta's behalf)  :-)

Best players by position 1990 to present (that should allow for a healthy debate) - must have played 2 years or more:

these are mine (not in any order)

OT - Sedge (Breakers & Chiefs) & George Williams (Oilers)

OG - Fabs (Oilers)  & David Mori (Chiefs)

C   - Steve Bakaj (Oilers)

TE - Trimboli (Lions)

QB - Yaeger (take a wild guess)

RB - Hurcombe (Breakers/Chiefs)

FB - Kleeman (Razorbacks/Chiefs)

WR - Peek (Razorbacks) & Miller (Razorbacks)

K    - Frank Tertipis (Spartans/Breakers)

DE  - Willmott (Razorbacks) & Matt Brennan (Lions/Breakers)

NT - Mark Van Borne (Lions/Breakers)

OLB - Carl Heyne (Eagles) &

ILB - Kas (Breakers) & Cavenett (Spartans)

SS - Shaun Garner (Razorbacks/Oilers/Breakers)

FS - Jason Vorrasi (Breakers)

CB - Dwayne Merritt (Razorbacks) & Dallas Turner (Spartans)

KR  - Scott Dawson (Eagles) / Merritt

PR - Matthew Hoare

This should cause a stir.

Yes Monte and Don Brown are by far the best two atheletes to play here but they weren't here long enough.

 Go Irish

OG - Fabs (Oilers)  & David Mori (Chiefs) - Agreed

C   - Steve Bakaj (Oilers) - Brad Jackson

TE - Trimboli (Lions) - Robert Castanelli

QB - Yaeger (take a wild guess) - Agreed

RB - Hurcombe (Breakers/Chiefs) - Agreed

FB - Kleeman (Razorbacks/Chiefs) - Agreed (I've heard some great stories)

WR - Peek (Razorbacks) & Miller (Razorbacks) - Agreed

K    - Frank Tertipis (Spartans/Breakers) - Don't know here... probably Matthew Milosevic or Miller

DE  - Willmott (Razorbacks) & Matt Brennan (Lions/Breakers) - Willmott plus Shaun McKeough (Chiefs)

NT - Mark Van Borne (Lions/Breakers) - Shaun McKeough (Chiefs)

OLB - Carl Heyne (Eagles) - Agreed plus Jake Moroney (Chiefs)

ILB - Kas (Breakers) & Cavenett (Spartans) - Agreed

SS - Shaun Garner (Razorbacks/Oilers/Breakers) - Agreed, but I'd also put Phil Buttfield in there too

FS - Jason Vorrasi (Breakers) - Agreed

Agreed on most with the following alternatives for thought (Yes with the obvious Chiefs bias)

TE - Coulston

NT - Fabs

OLB - Busby (Breakers \ Chiefs)

LB - Welsh (played inside and outside)

SS - Chris Hand

CB - Hounslow

P - Matthew Hoare or that tall punter from Spartans

Just wondering, why are we naming a nose tackle instead of 2 DT's nobody in our league uses a 3-4 defence. And tall Spartans Punter being Mark Stewart. Only 5 sleeps until juniors starts guys. Get out there and support your club, and the future of our league.

It aint c0cky if you back it up!
