I know the list isn't complete, but I couldn't think of any more off the top of my head.

Who is the worst QB of the last 20 years?  They must have started at least 30 games, so people who were "draft busts" after only a year don't count.  These are the guys that kept hangning around on talent alone, but couldn't win a game to save their lives.

My vote is Rick Mirer.  He ruined more teams who fell in love with his arm than any other team in NFL history - yes, that includes Jeff George!

RYAN LEAF, RYAN LEAF!!!! (I know he doesn' fit in to the 30 starts, but he deserves a mention whenever)

David Carr would be knocking on the door alot harder than some of those listed

For me it's got to be Mike McMahon, although he only started about a dozen games (played in 29) for Detroit and Philadelphia between 01' & 05'. As if not being able to get the starting job in front of Harrington isn't bad enough, he came to Philly in 05' replaced McNabb when he went down with another season ending injury, started the next few games and failed so badly he was replaced with 3rd stringer Koy Detmer.

My votes for th biggest wastes of talent in the NFL @ QB:

Michael Vick

Daunte Culpepper

 Unluckiest QB's in the NFL:

Chad Pennington (injuries)

David Carr (@ Texas, behind that O-Line, horrible)

So are you saying that the Panthers O-Line is as bad as the Texans?

Carr was sacked 249 times in 5 seasons @ Texas, 76 as a rookie! I'd say that would kill your confidence. The Super Bowl champ Giants have signed Carr as a back up for this season, so maybe they can see some potential.

To be fair, it's a quarterback's responsibility to sense pressure and get rid of the football quickly.  I don't care how bad a line is, you can't have 76 sacks and have it all be the line's fault.  Carr was criticised for hanging onto the ball for too long, even when he had receivers open.  Matt Shaub and Rosenfelds? Both had good years last year, behind the line the Carr kept getting sacked behind - and he was benched in Carolina after Delhomme went down, so he ended up 3rd string.

I don't think it's fair to include McMahon in the discussion, since he's been an all-time backup, so no one had high hopes for him.  I mean, there's a reason he was a backup to start with.

And really, Culpepper has a lifetime QB rating of like 92, so he wasn't bad at all.  He had a catstrophioc knee injury, got fat and old very fast (and really misses randy moss).

Sorry I didn't realise that the poll you created was for starting QB's only! you did give the option of others as an answer.

McMahon was my personal opinion. Unsure

Culpepper did blow out his knee, get fat and lose Moss, but because he couldn't adapt, thats his problem. Look at McNabb, always ridiculed about his weight, only had Owens (star WR) for a short time and has had to adapt to different WR's each season, with reasonable results (better than Culpepper).

Carr did hold the ball too long, but I think the line Matt Schaub and Sage Rosenfels played behind is a little different in personnel now. Carr's rookie season was 6 seasons back!

My measure of this is how well the team that the QB played for did after they kicked his *** to the kerb. With that in mind the winner is.....

Tony Banks easily. The two teams that released him (St Louis 1999, Baltimore 2000) won Superbowls pretty much immediately after he was gone.

Had he played longer he would have destroyed Warren Moon's fumble record and given Brett Favre's pick record a run as well.

Worst QB ever.
