@Crackbacker
No offence taken. I agree that the gap between 1-5 is quite close now. To be honest it makes things alot more fun. The Warriors' D still has lots of experience/talent but that Rangers O has weapons everywhere too so something has to give I guess.
@TIGIT
I think the Western Crusaders would be the closest team.

It was good to see my first game in ages down at Footscray. The Miners got up over the Crusaders in a tight game 13-12. Nice to catch up with some old teammates on both teams. Lucky I didn't feel like getting out there - not that anyone would be worried anyhow

Seahawks forfeited to Buccs, but had a good hard scratch match. A fun, clean game that ended halfway through the 3rd quarter with Sunshine being winded and Seahawks throwing in the towel.

Best game of the season for us to be apart of. A quick breakdows from what I can remember. The Rangers opened the game with a kick return for a TD. Warriors O drove down to about the 20 or 15 and Rangers recovered a fumble (new rule D can strip you after the play on the ground). Rangers took the ball down and scored on this drive I believe, missed both extra points so Rangers up 12-0. After this became a one sided game till halftime with the Warriors O pounding and driving for scores to put us up by half. The D made some great stops and interceptions keeping the Croydon D on the field. 2nd half was just a battle with the Rangers closing a 12 point lead and tying the game in the last minutes of the 4th. Warriors went to a 2 minute drill no huddle offense, with a smart Rangers squad screaming their heads off so we could barley hear the calls. Canada stepped up big with 2 catches to win the game. Last catch was a great sideline route thrown in running pace and a great move to set him free from the D to the TD. Croydon players going both ways could of contributed to our win. Would be hard to line up at D and still perform at RB the way Churchy did. On the Warriors D subject, Joey retired and the new guys need to step up on the run better. Wombat was the anchor on the D and without him they are missing some serious attitude at LB. Jules is still firing guys up with speaches that would make you pull your kids from his class The spread in this league is much closer than in the past and it's anyones game at this point. Since games are won and lost on the line, I would give us the edge. Love those sideways smiles looking back at me

kk wtf haha sounds like excuses to me, the way I heard it wombat wasn’t much, a guy who made his reputation on weak teams and went missing with wiffs on big tackles and disappeared on the pass, most teams run at him cause he was easy to block and not reliable, waznt he causin issues wit u guys anyway, all mouth no action? losing Finbar to injury is a tough break, haven’t seen your nzl guy this year but uh he was playing offense last year anyway right? Didn’t Schwef play TE also last year, he retired cause the league suspended him i heard? You lost Bull he was pretty good but I see you have another massive guy back, didn’t he play for Australia, your doing ok there. The way I see it your pass D has taken a step back with Miet to short but makin all da tackles, your safety don’t tackle or cover well. Not saying you guys aren’t good just don’t rate anyone as a standout athelete or someone who runs ur huddle? You guys just seem to have lost your smarts, getting out thought and out played. All you guys say is your missing this guy and that but I don’t see it, have u guys changed your D to the yank version? Or still trying to run the old d without the brain? Your offense wont carry you all year, without wilson you guys have lost a lot of heart on d, and were coming to get u, i can smell da fight now, epic finals this year for all in it! >:/ Just da way I hear it, Just da way I see it!

Oh dear. The key to being good at trolling is being a bit more subtle. I actually have an idea on who "Crackbacker" is and I don't think it's a Ranger.
I suppose it has been pretty boring here. Kudos for trying.

mmmm, Wombat wasn't he the guy who had the most tackles on the team 3 years in a row and won team MVP at the last Vicbowl. Oh thats right sorry he was on a weak defense at the time with 3 Australia team players on it and one that shutout the Rangers on the day who had a great squad at the time. I guess the warriors were lucky to get to the Vicbowl 5 years in a row on the back of their defense which wombat was the cornerstone of. Ah well at least we got there, thats the main thing....as for the offense, well i always say you have to score to win games and so far so good.

crackbacker (30/06/2009)
kk wtf haha sounds like excuses to me Cool some chat on our only football media in Vic. We still have some really good players on D. That's some BS about teams run at Wombat nice one had me laughing there for a sec. Wombat wasn't well known for his Pass D yet he had a few picks and some big ones in Finals past to get us the ball. He is a true Middle, hole filler and can fire his team up. Not trying to kiss his ***, just saying it like it is. crackbacker (30/06/2009)
kk have u guys changed your D to the yank version?
Not the Yank version dumbass didn't you read we got a Canadian coach Is there even an Australian version, did you invent the 2-3 D or something we haven't seen yet? Maybe it's the retarded 4-3 I see teams run at times where there is only 1 LB between the tackles. Oh shit that was us Our D is #2 in the league now behind the Buccs by points against.

haha, finally do excuses! Just saying I don't think he is all that, playing MLB you would expect a lot of tackles, he's not a Guido, Tinaz or even Petana quality though, those guys are cornerstones.lookin forward to the rest of the season, its hottin up, the run home is gonna be exciting, its usually all done by now. It's no fun if you can't have a crack!
