Just throwing it out there.

When the crusaders get their offence to play consistant for 4 quarters, they'll be up there. That D-line is something else and all it needs is for the O to do their job...

Great game with the Cru and Miners Sunday. I'm glad we(Miners) came out with the W. It was like the first game where I think they kinda stole one from us and we returned the favour this past week. I may be biased but when we have our Dline I think it is the best in the league. Our somoan 4 some are big and nasty and can make or break the games for us. Sunday was the I think the first time they played together the whole game and created Havoc on Parke and the running game. The crusaders is impressive but in my biased opinion those guys are better.

Good to see some chat going tho. I think it could possibly shape up to be a interesting end to the season.

haha apparently I'm a cornerstone! If i am a "cornerstone" of anything, I'd have to say it's probably of overpursuing! Guido used to get a hell of a lot of EXTRA tackles (as if he needed more) when I spent half the game overpursuing to the sidelines and back!

Just out of interest, who is this cracker person? Coming into our friendly little forum and causing such a ruckus lol!

Good morning.

From the looks of things of the GV site.

Offense by rank :                   Defense by Rank:

1) Warriors                           1) Buccs

2) Rangers                           2) Warriors

3) Crusaders                         3) Miners

4) Buccs                              4) Rangers

5) Miners                             5) Crusaders

6) Seahawks                        6) Seahawks

Stats are funny, cause I'd rank the Rangers D much higher than 4 based on their ability to adjust to plays. Actually I think the top 5 D's on that list are all very close depending on the O they are matched against.

Looks like rain on the weekend.

This weeks games

Cru vs Buccs

This game looked pretty close last time with a lot of shots at the endzone. Im leaning towards the Buccs on this one despite their lack of offensive threats they can pount the ball a bit better and this year seems to be a breakout year for them and things go there way. The Buccs need ths win to keep themselves up at the # 2 seed and in the running for #1. Same with the Cru they need this win to keep get themselves back into #4 after a loss to the Miners.

Croydon vs Seahawks

....................Hope Seahawks have a side to play with.

Warrios vs Miners

Last game was a blow out which felt easier than a Seahawks game. Sorry Hawks. However the Miners were missing their big boys on the D-line and this will be a different team we face this time. Miners still need someone to step up on O and give their D a rest.

Why do the Miners only have 2 points for 2 wins? Im assuming this is a misprint and if the Miners want to get a play-off spot they need a win.

Warriors D have something to prove this week so lets do it.

So if the Miners and Cru both lose it goes tie breaker rule #2

Best for and against record in head to head matches so at this point the Cru are still in the 4th spot.

Good luck on the weekend everyone!

Sounds like the CRU and MINERS are similar, both need their O to start firing.

I am happy everyone is underrating my defence, its good to see.

As far as the 2nd round game V Warriors go there were no excuses but some reason why were were undermanned. 6 starting D players injured and out, their coach leaving 30min before game when advised of best mate passing away in an accident. 4 starting O out inj. Just a dog day that one.

All other games we have been in winning positions but failed have losing margins in all of 1td or less, so had the gods given us an ounce of luck with the 12 dropped catches we may have been in 1st/2nd posi. But thats football.

The Bowl is anyones at this stage!!

Dropping catches has less to do with luck and more to do with poor receivers.

I don't know who you think is underrating your defense. Everyone is aware of the situation in Geelong and that it will be a very different ballgame this time. Taking that Miners D lightly is a very bad idea.

As they say in cricket: Catches win Matches. I dont think Punter is a bad catch but I have seen him drop some!!

Our receivers do the hard work and create separation then drop em. Maybe your right. The rest of their effort is fine its just that 1 vital problem! Maybe I should take em over to D, that way a dropped catch is a Bat down and a good thing!!

Ah that's what makes sport sport I guess, frustration! sport has its ways.

The Miners QB looked pretty athletic, but didn't have a good arm. Why was he asked to drop back all day and throw?

Miners number 16 looked pretty solid on the O.

So what if he doesn't have a good arm?

He's just following in the athletic, jelly arm footsteps of his predecessor.

My criticism isn't with the player, but with the coaches not putting him in a position to succeed.

The QB is more athletic than I'll ever be: why force a square peg into a round hole?
