I'd like to go on the record as saying this is the most ridiculous thread I've ever had the pleasure of reading on this site. We're saying that the Warriors are no good anymore because they almost lost their first game (they only won by a touchdown) in two years to their only legitimate challenger, a team they also beat by a TD or less 3 times last year enroute to another VicBowl? By that logic, Roger Federer now sucks because he only won Wimbledon in five sets to the number 3 player in the world, a player he has an 18-2 record against. In short, until a team actually beats the Warriors, this will remain a completely retarded topic of conversation.

hopefully this works.Ok I believe someone wanted some info on the buccs and crusaders game. Well here it is: Buccaneers: scored on there opening drive by a long pass to one of there wide receivers. no conversion 6-0 Cru: scored on there second play on offence with a long ball off a play action fake pass to #36. Conversion full back out which should have been pass interference because he engaged a line backer on a play action pass then ran his route. Cant do this however the refs never call it. (not blaming anyone, we all run this play the refs just never call it). 6-8 Buccs: offence throw an interception to #36 and he takes it to the house. No conversion. 6-14 Crusader: offence throw an interception to buccs DE and he takes it to the house. No conversion. 12-14 I think Crusaders score again just before the half on a tipped ball to the full back flat thing which he takes about forty yards and they run a reverse and score 2 point conversion. 12 – 22 Buccs: offence score by a long run I think 2 point conversion by #45. 20 – 22 Crusaders score again off of a Questionable late hit call (thanks Lewis lol) I think they pass it in. no conversion. 20-28 Buccs score on a QB keep for about 50 yards, the QB breaks about 4 tackles. But no conversion. Final score 26-28 Summary: there were good and bad from both teams. Someone had to loose, it sucks but hey. Good game by Parke except when he tried to kick the ball off the ground after a blocked punt lol. Thanks for the game film highlight we replayed it… allot. So predictions for the year anyone? or is it too early and too close to call. Oh and stop d#*k measuring its getting boring.

At the risk of sound dumb...hehe....cant the FB just go out smash a LB or someone and turn and catch a pass on an out route or similar? Where's the fun if you're just running and catching s#!t without hitting someone first. reply...be civil....no sheep jokes thanx.....wombat wrote me book, its getting old..haha

Buccs 32/Warrior 59
Actually any receiver/Defender can engage their opposition as long as a) It is totally front on. b) The QB still has the ball in his possession.
Once the QB has thrown the ball you cannot do it.
All LB's should be placing any Receiver be it WR/TE or RB/FB on their Backside if they come across the middle and the QB has the ball. This is also the basis of bump and run however it usually happens on the LOS.

Geeeeez a lot of banter about the Warriors and are they or not great. I am biased against them but will be nice and say this as I too have played in a side that dominated like no other.
In our tiny measly league the team that is able to get good numbers and have them stay as a unit for 5 years will become dominant. especially if the other teams are not able to do this. Sure it also depends on the type of athletes presenting as well. But the key is experience!!!!
If since 2006 my team had been able to keep everyone especially lineman then I would say we would be a lot better then we are now. Those that have stayed have improved immensly since then.
So the Warriors are basking in their ability to keep their unit together. But as we can all see their numbers are down, they are not as good as last year sure, but hey they are unbeaten so who cares.
Winners are grinners and until one of us beats em they should be smiling. I would be!! As the sayings go. There aint no second prize. Winner Takes it all so on and so on.
Who remembers who comes second??????????

I just want to go on record and say that I couldn't agree more with Stafford. Ridiculous thread.
Like I said I think I know who crackbacker might be - and it's not a Ranger. Intentional spelling mistakes and all.

i don't particularly care who he is. Until he actually states who he is instead of hiding behind a computer screen, I won't rate anything he says. He's obviously been around a while because he knows so many players and has the audacity to think he is more than shit on a bench-warmer's boot. This season ain't over boys. Not by a long shot.

At the last coaching and officiating course I attended this rule was brought up because i needed to know how to teach a LB, SS, CB how to read run or pass when a TE or Fullback was blocking him in our backfield every play. Because as we all know if a RB, FB, TE or WR blocks you or trys to block you it is run or a screen which he can't come down field to block you until the ball is thrown as this is a flag for blocking down field. The refs were supposed to pay special attention to this rule this year however they have not. Like i said we all run this type of play because it works and its not being called.

Here is a better topic. Why so much pass!!!this league used to be all about smash mouth footy and some time over the last 3 years we have seen the full back and power run sets gone and the 3 and 4 Wr sets begin. I miss smash mouth footy bring back the biff i think Could this change to 70% passing games have something to do with a shorter play clock? just a thought

The answer to that one is easy, at least for us at the Seahawks: players. The spread is based off having personnel that are best suited for it. In Australia, big, physical linemen are hard to find and even harder to develop. Thin, quick, tall receiver types however tend to fall out of trees walking down the street. So, for us, going to the spread makes sense. Also, passing picks up bigger chunks of yardage faster than does a running game. If you can get out to a decent lead quickly then grind down the clock, it makes it harder for the other team to catch up. The irony of our offense though is that we'd actually prefer to run more often than we do, it's just that a number of things have led to us having to pass more than run. Different teams are better suited to running different offenses based on their particular skill sets.
