Actually, the trade details are as follows (according to Larry Meyer of the Chicago Bears):

1. Kyle Orton now a Bronco

2. 2009 & 2010 1st Round draft pics

3. 2009 Third Round draft pic (obviously not the compensatory pics awarded)

This leaves the Bears with a Frnachise QB with 3 years left on his contract and still maintain their 2nd round pic to possibly grab a quality receiver.

The final piece of the "Greatest Show on Turf" has now left St. Louis, WR Torry Holt has signed a 3 year deal with the Jaguars.

Mad Philly Fan! (21/04/2009)

Good deal for the Jags, now they can pick up Sanchez in the draft and have a decent run at an offence. I don't understand why soo many teams are focused on having a younger roster, they're giving up their best players. The successful teams have it all right. Keep your vets until you can get a rookie trained up to replace them.

KS Chiefs, WHAT ARE YOU DOING???? Trading your future Hall of Fame Tight End Gonzales to the Falcons for a 2010 2nd round pick?? WTF??

Aaron Curry saying he'll take less money to go the the Lions as the #1 pick?? Career suicide buddy, you'd better pray that the Lions take Stafford instead of you

Maybe the KC Chiefs traded Tony G so they got something for him before he retires or maybe he just wanted out to go to a team that is on the up, rather than stay with a team that does nothing every year! Being a future Hall-of-Famer means very little to the players old team when the player is near the end of their career.

Joe Montana, ended his career as a Chief.

Emmitt Smith was a Cardinal (re-signed with the Cowboys to retire a Cowboy).

Deion Sanders, retired as a Raven.

Brian Dawkins, will retire as a Bronco after 13 years service for the Eagles.

The list can go on, sometimes it's just time to move, for your career or the future of the team.
