Just to let you know that the Candidates lists for Wolfpack will be posted on the Gridiron NSW web site very soon. Players should already have received their letters informing them of their nomination.

If you've received a letter please aim to indicate by end of Tuesday 22 December whether you are available, not available or unsure (for whatever reason.) A number of responses have already been received. Make sure you send yours in.

Just a reminder to Wolfpack candidates that TESTING will take place this weekend on Saturday Morning and Sunday afternoon. Venues and details should already have been forwarded to you.

If you have not received the details of time, venues etc, then email Wolfpack through the Gridiron NSW site or the Head Coach.

Every player who wants to make the squad must undergo testing, ideally this weekend. See you there.

I intend to schedule a course on Barbell Lifting Mechanics and open it up only for GNSW players and coaches; will run it in the first half of this year.

Secondly, I will also move forward with organizing a Strength and Conditioning for Football symposium for the middle of the year. I have already spoken to a few people about this and I think it has a lot of merit.

Putting these ideas out there to gauge interest at this stage.

What do you think?

Great idea, Hawkpeter. It's becoming clear that strength training is a key part of getting better in our local game. Things like initiative will make certain that we are doing things right. You'll have my support.

I think the course would be of great benefit to all of our player and allow them to increase the explosion needed to play football. This is honestly one major thing that makes us different to players from the US
