The New York Jets is fully focused on having a great 2010 National Football League season. To be competitive in the next NFL season the Jets are now doubling efforts to plug a hole in their defense with the recent injury suffered by reliable outside linebacker Calvin Pace. Dealing with Pace's injury and absence of star cornerback Darrelle Revis are two of the primary focus of Jets coach Rex Ryan nowadays as the new NFL season approaches.
It is believed that Pace will miss four to six weeks due to his broken right foot injury.
Pace is very sad with his injury but he is confident he will recover soon and help the cause of his team in the next NFL season. The outside linebacker is expected to miss the NFL season opener of the Jets against the Baltimore Ravens. To clog the hole vacated by Pace, Ryan has tapped the services of former player and NFL veteran linebacker Adalius Thomas, who played for him while he was still part of the Baltimore Ravens. Although already old at 33, Ryan is confident Thomas still has something left in his tank to help the cause of the Jets in the forthcoming season of the NFL.
Taylor is expected to replace Pace in the starting lineup. The Jets hope Taylor could become a situational pass rusher who will be relegated to the bench once Pace returns. Thomas was a Pro Bowl player in his prime, but his production declined steadily in three seasons with the New England Patriots. In 14 games last season, he recorded only 34 tackles and three sacks. He also fell out of favor with Coach Bill Belichick. The way each team prepares makes the 2010 NFL season exciting and thrilling to watch live in stadium by getting cheap New York Jets tickets.
